Activities for Spouses

We haven't forgotten there's a lot of New Virginian SPOUSES and extended family! Of course, they are welcome at any and all events, including participating as quiet observers at rehearsals as Stan and Owen put us through our paces. However, we realize a reunion can be trying when it's not your reunion! To counteract that we've listed a wealth of activities available in Richmond. Here's a few suggestions:

• Shopping at Virginia Center Commons. This regional mall and extended shopping area is only minutes away from the Resort
• Historic Riverwalk at the Kanawha Canal. Enjoy a leisurely stroll across the footbridge over the falls of the James River to Brown's Island
• Stony Point and Short Pump Towne Center, Virginia's Premier Upscale Outdoor Malls
• The Crossings beautiful on-site golf course
• The Resort's First Class, 4-Star Facilities
• The Virginia State Capital
• A mixture of Richmond Museums, including:
  • Virginia Museum
  • Museum of the Confederacy
  • Edgar Allen Poe Museum
  • Hollywood Cemetary, final resting place of Presidents Monroe Tyler, General J. E. B. Stuart, and Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederate States. Also buried here are the remains of over 18,000 Confederate dead.
